Biography:

Sufian Ararah studied cinematography at Met Film School in London after finishing his bachelor’s degree in the UK. He then returned to Libya to work on music video commercials and public awareness campaigns for international and local organizations such as IOM, Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, and UNHCR. He also participated in producing campaigns such as “Let’s Volunteer” and “My Story”. In addition to all his previous experience in the field, Sufian’s first experience as an independent writer and director was through the short “Sabeel” (A Pathway). He then worked as a cinematographer for the award-winning documentary “Freedom fields” (2018), directed by Naziha Arebi.
