Biography:

Mohamed Masli is a documentary filmmaker and the general manager of the documentary production company Kunnasha Films, he has studied and been in the media field since 2006, and he participated in a documentary production workshop by Deutsche Welle (2019).

He first started as a photographer and gradually to being a director of photography and now is a film director and producer.

In Masli’s career eight local television shows, including The People’s Stories that was nominated for the Tripoli Septimius Award for best directing in 2013, and won the best director award for Amazigh in Arabic documentary series at Sheshonq Award for Creativity in Kabaw, Libya, he also gained experience in big documentary productions as a videographer namely Misrata Is Stronger than the Siege produced by Al Jazeera Network (2012), The Revolution and Me produced and directed by Nicole Nagel (2012), in addition to this he has directed and produced several documentaries, worthy of mention is his documentary film Tawergha’s Blacksmith (2021) and To the council (2020).

Apart from being a documentary filmmaker, Masli is also involved in filming humanitarian stories for several agencies including Reuters.
