Biography:
Heba Al-Shibani is a Libyan journalist, producer, and documentary film director. She has a working experience in many Libyan and international media outlets.
Heba participated as a director in several European festivals and a jury member in the One World International Human Rights Film Festival 2020.
Heba’s vast experience in producing and directing films contributed to the release of a series of short documentaries called “Lahni – Alhan Libiyya” (My Tune – Libyan Tunes), portraying independent artists and musicians from all over Libya.
Besides her skills as a director and producer, Heba has several contributions to the field of writing, where she is one of the authors of “Nisaana Ala Al Ard” (Our Women on the Ground) with Christiane Amanpour, the CNN chief international correspondent. “Nisaana Ala Al Ard” is a first-of-its-kind essay collection about Arab female correspondents doing coverages in the Arab world.
