Biography:
Raouf Baayou is a fiction and documentary film director, producer and editor, he has studied and worked in the media and arts and co-founded Misrata TV channel.
He obtained a diploma in documentary film production and directing from Al Jazeera Channel Institute in Doha in 2012. In his early days, Raouf won second place in the Martyr Nebus Award, organized by Libya Al-Ahrar TV in 2012. In 2018 he filmed a short feature “Naji’s Body” which participated in many festivals and competitions, most notably the Wahran Film Festival, the Alexandria Festival, and the Maghreb Oujda Festival, among others. In 2020 he filmed the documentary “Libya Is a Country of Rich History”. Raouf also creates advertisements, In 2020 he filmed “Belonging”.
Raouf was chosen as a member of “Septimus” drama award jury, that took place in Tripoli.
